SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

It sounds like the cab file has disappeared from the windows registry or has become corrupted, I have 2 suggestions for you to try first off go in to your start menu and open up your dos shell, after you have loaded your dos shell type cd\ to take it back to your main drive usually c:\ after you have changed the directory to c:\ type in
chkdsk /f this will run a check on your windows registry first then your hdd then cross reference both your registry and your hdd. Please note that at a certain point it will tell you that it can not complete as windows is currently in use and it will ask if you wish to run this test next time you run windows type y for yes as press enter your dos shell should close down by itself but if it doesn't do not panic just click the x button at the top and restart you pc it will then run the test it could not finish due to windows being used if it finds any errors within either test it will fix and usually generates a report for you to see what was fixed. Then try running office again if the problem still exists after this then my second suggestion is to completely remove your office program via control panel do not under any circumstances just delete it off your hdd as this will cause further headaches for you after you have removed office from your pc it will most likely want to restart restart now and let the pc start up again as normal now check your windows explorer for any file or folder trace left over if the folder remains this you can just delete off your hdd, then once again restart your pc after emptying your recycling bin and after your computer restarts re-install office and this should resolve your problem if not please refer to Microsoft for further technical assistance. I hope this helps.

Very slow boot on 660 inspiron

The first thing you can try is to start up your dos shell, Inside the dos shell type chkdsk /f this will run a check on your registry etc and will fix any issues that it may have, Please note that it will get so far and tell you that it could not perform an action as windows is currently being used do you wish to run this check the next time windows start, Tell it yes by typing y press enter and restart it will perform it's checks and if it finds any problems it will fix them and generate a report at the end to tell you what it fixed. If this does not work, Try updating your BIOS from the Dell website this can be found under the driver and support section you can download it or do it on line ( Best Off Downloading as it will restart your system into a setup type screen and you will loose your internet connection. If after all this and it is still very slow at startup contact Dell support for further technical assistance. I hope this helps.

Error 3 is a failure to communicate with Google Update. There are two known reasons for this:
  1. You're running Vista/ 7 and you have configured Google Chrome to always run as administrator. This is a known issue with the Google Chrome auto-updating mechanism and can be avoided by simply running Google Chrome as a normal user. Additionally, keep in mind that for security reasons we recommend that you don't elevate the privilege of Google Chrome to administrator.
  2. Google Update isn't registered properly. To fix this, verify that GoogleUpdate.exe exists in the location specified in the Windows Registry Editor.

The instructions below involve viewing your registry. If you're uncomfortable or unfamiliar with this, you may want to consult your local computer guru before following these steps.

    1. Go to the Start menu > Run.
    2. Enter regedit.
    3. Click OK. The Registry Editor should appear.
    4. In the tree view on the left, navigate to the following directory:

    5. The "Default" value should correspond to the location of your GoogleUpdate.exe or GoogleUpdateOnDemand.exe file. Verify that GoogleUpdate.exe exists at the given path.
      • If GoogleUpdate.exe doesn't exist in this location, try uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome.
      • If GoogleUpdate.exe or GoogleUpdateOnDemand.exe exists at a different location, right-click the 'Default' value and select Modify. Enter the correct file path and make sure you use double-quotation marks, e.g. "C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe(or GoogleUpdateOnDemand.exe)"
  3. You can also try reinstalling Google Chrome and install through an alternate installer

Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
    Have a good day

Click start, run, type regedit

Navigate to this registry key:

Delete the "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters" entries.

If you have more than one key with that number, use the first one.
