Question about Cambridge Audio DVD55 DVD Player
Switch the machine on without a disc in and press I-scan.
This worked instantly for me when I had the same problem this week with my DVD55 i.e. we switched the machine on once and had sound but no picture. I found the following at http://www.cambridgeaudio.com customer care.
'The most likely cause of this is when the machine is set to output progressive scan. This will ussually only send a signal out to the component video jacks on the unit, and scart, svhs, and composite video will be bypassed. To return the units video output to interlace scan, press the I-scan button on the remote control.
If you are trying to turn on the HDMI connection on your DVD player, please be aware that this can only be done when there is no disc in the machine.'
Hope this helps and you haven't hit it with a hammer yet.
