How can i get just a face plate for a sony cdx-m620

try cleaning the contacts on the face and subpanel with a qtip and rubbing alcohol or a pencil eraser.

you probably have a bad flexible cable that goes from the face to the main motherboard.

you can get it at pacparts.com for about 67.00 plus shipping and handling.

If you buy a wiring harness from this guy he will send you a wiring diagram. Copy and paste the web address.

sony can provide you with a new face plate but depending on what type and what country your in there are laws that dont allow this as some times the units are stolen from cars there fore you might need to prove some how you own the unit ounce done you should be right

face plate is going bad lcd is fading solution--replace face

to fix this problem you have to take the face plate off. There should be a small button on the middle-left side that sais "reset" on it. Get a ballpoint pen and press this button. Pop the face plate back on and play your CD and it should work no problem.

I just repaired my sony. Just order a new front flat cable. Costs about EUR 16,- incl. shipment. Repair is done in 15 min.

There is a ribbon cable that tells the face what to do. You will have to take it in to get serviced as it is very hard to change. There are alot of pieces / parts inside.

If you have tried another front & its the same, then its the main unit,...
Are the copper contacts clean? use rubbing alchol.
Are they intact? No? it needs to be professionaly repaired.
