Webcam hi im trying to install my webcam i have lost the disc and wondered if you could help me its a labtec webcam plus 2005 could you help me please

Here is the download page for your camera's drivers. A rule of thumb for me is to NEVER use included software/install disks when I buy hardware, you can find them on the manufacturer's website and when downloading you can more easily find different builds (for example, my printer only came with the disks to install the suite of applications, whereas the basic operational drivers were available online).

Select model and follow instructions to download the software.

After downloading, unplug camera usb cable and start downloaded file. This will start the camera setup wizard and install camera software.

the software will ask you to plug back the camera at right time, if not plug it back after installing software.

MAYBE YOU GOT THE WRONG DRIVER...TRY DOWNLOADING THE CORRECT ONE

Unfortunately, win98 always requires the cd rom as there are certain files on the disc that it uses to install the software and hardware, so you will have to find a copy from Ebay or somewhere or purchase an xp disc and upgrade.

This means that the driver has not been installed. Remove the camera and uninstall the driver software and re install again, then connect the camera.
