Are you comfortable opening up the case? I've got a few things you could try.

Beeping sounds are usually distinct patterns. These patterns correspond to a table that explains the error.

So is it three short beeps, then off, then repeat?

The more details you give the easier it will be for people to help.

Great,

The easiest and most common problem has to do with memory. Open your case and find the memory cards.

Most have tabs that hold them in that need to be moved so that the cards pop out. Pull any and all memory out. Take one of the memory sticks and place it back into the slot. They only go one way if doesn't pop in easily one way, try the other way.

Turn on the computer and see if that fixes your issue or gives you a different result.

Make sure you unplug the power from your computer before you swap the memory. Don't worry about being electrocuted or anything, unless you're covered in metal like Mr. T there's relatively no danger at all. Just make sure you ground yourself by touching the side of the metal case with one hand. That way there is no chance of static electricity discharging.

Let me know if that works by rating my solution. If it doesn't we'll try something else.

Best of luck!

:)

When computer is turned on it makes beeping sound wont go out unless unpluged

The beeping sound is the POST, pre-operating system test trying to tell you what is wrong.

Unfortunately there is no manual available for this motherboard.

The chipset has a manual, but not a list of the POST beeps.

Spins but makes a beeping sound and wont register.

Well, It sounds like there is something lodged in your Hardware drive...The beeping is probably a warning signal to tell you that it is not properly booting up...You should go to a Computer Repairman...

Do you see anything on the monitor screen? Does the tower make any beeping noise or clicking noise, or does the fan tries to start up when you power the computer on? Are the cables connected properly?
If you see anything on the monitor screen, or if you hear a beeping sound, let us know so we can diagnose further.

My computer freezes and makes a long beeping sound then no signal to monitor, beeping continues till manually shut down.

There are several reasons why a computer will lock up. You can view the HP help file HERE for your computer. You can also view the beep codes for your computer (yes, those noises mean something :D ) HERE. The instructions are step by step for your machine and should be fairly easy to follow.

Good Luck

Computer will start beeping and then the monitor goes off and I have to shut down by front button. Sometimes have the same problem starting up. Beeps and will no turn on. This computer has been used...

The beeping sound could be caused by RAM problems or video problems or a BIOS battery.
If the computer has not been used for some time, then some components may not be making proper electrical contact with the motherboard.
Open the computer case and re-seat the RAM (memory) modules and re-seat the expansion cards that are plugged into the expansion slots. The screws need to be removed from the back-plane before the card can be removed and inserted again.
Also reseat the cables to the hard drive and other drives.
The BIOS battery may be flat and if so it needs a replacement lithium battery (the most common type in these computers is 3 volt - CR2032 coin type battery. its 20mm dia) Check before you purchase a new battery. After installing a new battery, the BIOS needs to be configured eg. the Date and Time etc.
Let me know if this fixes your computer, if not then note the error messages and give me the details.

I have an Acer Aspire (and thats as much as I know) that makes a constant beeping sound ... so fast that I cannot even try to detinguish individual beeps to count them. Sometimes this sound does not happen...

Cardinal Rule 1
Dont use ur expensive computer for Games, go to a galeriya
Cardinal Rule 2
Beeping while playing games is a part of the computer's operation...or it can be part of that game.

Some times ur accessories (like ur printer/USB device/mouse etc) is not connected properly...

if the sound is from the PC's speaker then it can be disabled but u will also not get the games sound.

but if it's from your PC's external speaker then u have to live with it or u can mute ur speakers.

Computer dead and beeping

If it beeps and not boot then it is the post routine telling you there is a problem. The post routine is run when you turn the power on to ensure the computer hardware is ok to run. The manufacturer of the bios routine can tell what is wrong by the type, number and duration of the beeps. Look up the code meanings and it will indicate the problem. If this sounds like nonsense to you then give the make and model of your machine and what the beeps sound like. ( beep beep beep delay beep beep beep) etc. and I'll look it up for you.

Computer problem

during these beeps there should be pause between them at some point...in other words you may get 2 beeps/pause/1beep/pause/2 beeps noting the number of beeps and where the pauses are will help. From what you are describing and without more info it sounds as if you are describing beep codes, and they generally can give us a lot of information.

Power button blinks slowly and machine wont turn on

does it make any beeping sounds? try unplugging all peripherals like keyboard, mouse, usb devices etc, just leave the monitor and power cords and try powering it on again. If it is beeping give me the number of beeps and frequency.
