I have a ruud gas furnance. No power model number i have, furnance has no power to the 2wire thermostat. Fuse/breaker was replaced with a new one.

Your furnace has a fuse inside on the circuit board. Make sure that is good. Also the circuit has a door switch that breaks power, so when you open the door find the switch press it in then use a muti-meter on the C and W,G, Y terminals to see if you have 24 volts. IF your unit is getting power from the transformer then the break or open circuit is possibly a safety or some other issue and I would then recommend calling in a local professional.

You didn't mention what thermostat(s) you have but most simply require you to go from cool to heat and then check the temp setting(s0 to make sure they are in your comfort zone.

My furnance keeps turning off and I could go to furnance flip switch on and it only last 5 minutes then shuts off again

You may want to check the limit switch or you could have a issue with the gas valve or transformer. I would check the low voltage transformer first, Sometimes I have found that under load the transformer will open ( quit working) and will close after power is removed and it cools down, It indicates a bad internal connection.

Most furnaces have a tech manual inside. Under the blower cover should be a trouble shooting guide. Call the dude and tell him what the problem is. You have no other source of heat and you live in alaska?. If I was you I would invest in a comfort glow gas vent free heater for emergency. No power is needed to operate the heater.

EIther the valve is faulty or the ingiter is corroded or faulty. The inside of the ingniter has a shaft with a probe that keeps heated so it can ignite. It can be corroded.
