Most likely the thermistor is faulty, it controls the temperature and since it doesn't reach it it keeps saying wait

Most likely this is a hard drive failure. This is especially likely if your machine has the network print and or the document server and fax options installed.
If you let it sit with "Please Wait" long enough does it ever come up with the wrench light or service code?

The LCD always say PLEASE WAIT


If you have unpluged the machine and repluged it in there is only one thing left apart from throwing it away: try to do a firmware update! download will be done from brother homepage. If youre lucky it will bing the machine back to work.

If that wont do, you have to put it away, sorry (circuitboard defective!)
