sounds like the service station siezed and the control circuit to the motor has burned out- common fault for this machine- unfortunately this means its cheaper to buy a new machine than it is to repair- sorry
Hello. 0B000D error during start-up indicates a 24VDC failure. This is generally caused by a failed DC power supply. There are 2 types of power supplies - 1 for the 1050C series and 1 for the 1050C Plus series. They can both be found at: HP Designjet 1050C 1055CM repair parts
Firmware issue: 1. Cancel all pending/que jobs 2. Disable nesting option 3. Dis connect data cable, restart the machine.. check... 4. Up load latest firmware.( read carefully read me file before up loading the firmware)
Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.
And i'm sorry to say but the service manual then tells you to try the following:
- Replace the scan-axis motor assembly. - Replace the paper-axis motor assembly. - Replace the service station assembly. - Replace the main pca. - Replace the ISS pca. - Replace the power supply unit. - Replace the electronics module.
(only replace one component at a time)
Yeah then you have to guess which part to start with.
Maybe anybody else on this forum knows more about the error and has a better idee about the part you should start with.
Just take a good look at the machine, and check which sections of the start up works before the error is prompted.
e.g. If the carriage moves then you could say that the scan-axis motor is probably ok.
this is usually the case when certain settings that are required by the registry are not in place, The solution could be as simple as unistall the scanner driver restart the system and reinstall the scanner driver.
If this doent work get back old registry values by going to start-Programs-accessories-system tools -system restore and restore the settings to the time when youre sure the scanner worked .
