William,
I have been working on appliances for over 30 years and I do not think that I have ever seen drip pans for a stove that have 3 slots. I would suggest researching online for your make and model number and either purchase them online or go to a local appliance repair dealer or even check Lowe's or Home Depot and see if they can help you.
You plobably have the incorrect drip pans that do not have the proper holes for the grates to fit in, I would chech with an appliance repairman, he should have a source for the correct drip pans.
If your drip pans are chrome plated NO you can not put them in the oven during the self clean cycle since the chrome plating will be burned off PLEASE BE ADVISED the racks also need to be removed during the self clean since the chrome will burn off of them as well...if your drip pans are porcelean coated they could go in durning self clean.
If the water has been dried up, it was most likely the drip pans. Water is non flammable, sorry i couldn't help myself. If water was the problem there would be sparks and buzzing noises first.
I'll be glad to sell you one. I have the same model and am ready to replace it with a new cooktop. I have the same KGCS1340P but can't find part under the knob.
put on tree belt . having the same problems replaced ERC $200.00 now they are telling me touch pad touch pad is $240.00 .the stove cost $1300.00. $1740.00 how much more will i have to put in this stove
I don't have a solution, but I am trying to figure out how to remove the sealed burner drip pans on a Thermador PRSG 364 GLS gas stove. Any suggestions?
