Re: Radio code for 96 Acura
If you dont have the code in the owners manual or with the papers with the car your going to have to call your local acura dealer and give them your vin/serial number and they can look up the radio code for you.

The radio has to be removed from the dashboard
Then post the 14 character SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
RN* * * * * * * * * * * * found stamped in the metal casing.
Also post the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode
If in doubt post ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes
Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C 7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
If the code is not written on the radio casing or inside the glove compartment (or similar place inside your car ) then the majority of ACURA codes are only available from here (and nowhere else for free on the Internet)
You will require the car VIN number and Radio serial Number
If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA/ACURA Main Dealer .....or a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) ====================================================
if you dont have the code in the owners manual or with the papers that came with the car, then your gonna have to call your local acura dealer and talk to someone in tech services and they can look up your vin/serial number and give you the code.
