How do i remove the drum?

Hello, i have a 3RATW3005TQ1 ( I think) and i seem to have something between the plastic outer drum and the interior drum with the holes in it. How do i get to drum out to remove the (think its a screw) item? I also think the item has made a small hole which i am wanting to have repaired so will need to get the outer plastic drum out completely if possible?

Your washer (Admiral) is made by whirlpool, here is the video. You will have to find a wrench to take off the agitator but im not sure of what size you will need to use.

SOURCE: May have an article of clothing stuck between drums

possible that ther is a piece of clothing, if you can "pop" the top and tilt the top back, you can then unsnap the upper tub ring cover, that tub "floats in the unit so you can lift it right out. as far as the f51 what was the result on that?? thas usually requires replacing trhe "rps" sensor and main control board, id call whirplool depending on age for that matter

SOURCE: Something rolling inside the Drum

The rear half of the outer tub, with bearing is part # 131525500 and it looks like the back "spider" shaft is not available as a separate part from the inner drum. The "spider" shaft is most likely worn or damaged and in need of replacement also.

Now, two pain in the back side hours of your labor and you've got your washer back, at more than what a new one would cost! Junk it and get a new larger capacity front loader.
Please don't rate this, as anything but the top rating will lower my score. I'm just giving you my honest opinion, that your machine is not economical to repair. I've owned a LG front loader for over 6 years and think they are the best, but there are other good front loaders out there also.

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune MAH5500B leaks.

You most likely need a new outer tub,the bearing seal is shot eventually it will get gradually louder in spin if it hasn't already, you can try having the seal replaced and that may stop the leak but the damage to the bearing is already done.

SOURCE: last load of washing has lots of black dirty marks on them

From what you describe, I would agree with you in concluding that the main drum bearings have gone.
Problem is, until it is stripped down, there is no way of knowing if it has worn the drum shaft.
This being the case, then it it is really beyoind economical repair.

My hotpoint wt940 inner drum doesnt seem to come out of the outer plastic drum

If you have both drums out then it is best to rest the outer drum edges on something so the inner drum is free to release. The drum bearings will be holding the inner drum in place and can take a bit of persuasion with a block of wood on the end of the shaft and a good hammer to get it to release. Make sure you use a block of wood to protect the end of the shaft otherwise you can damage the end and then you will have to get a new spider with shaft for it.

Hi I have a Hotpoint WD61D washer dryer and during the spin cycle of the wash the machine makes an almighty racket. Sounds like something is broken or loose inside and often it sounds like there is a...

Hello.
From the symptons you describe, it is 1 of 2 possibilities that is causing the problem.

1- the main drum bearings have collapsed, thus causing excessive movement on drum, this is turn allows the drum to catch the outer plastic drum, thus breaking pieces of it off.

2- The main drum shaft has fractured, causing the drum to turn off center, again causing the inner drum to catch the outer drum, and breaking the plastiof the outer drum.
Either way, it entails a strip down to determine problem, and at the age the washer is, I would not cosider it a viable repair, as either way, it will be a repair bill in excess of well over a £100.00,and could be a lot more if the plastic outer drum has to be replaced, which is a distinct possibility.
Take the plunge, and treat yourself to a new washer.

There seems to be something between the drum and the plastic outer casing of the drum. When the drum spins, there is a scraping noise and the object does seem to move inside the space. It doesn't hinder...

Most seals completely prevent clothing ie a tiny kids sock or other kids clothes. if it's bouncing about in side the exterior drum, something has broken and fallen inside there that shouldn't be.

Mine started with a wobbly spin, and ended up being a main spider gear that holds the wash drum inside the exterior drum perfectly with a watertight seal to a DD motor! A $240 dollar part shipped in saved the machine because the dryer has tons of miles left in it.

I used a video on Youtube to make the repair step by step including putting it back together again!

Hi my washer does not drain properly. I think it used to pump the water out then spin the tub, but now the tube spins slowly when it is trying to pump the water out. Could something inside the transmission...

I would start with the simple possiblities first.
Remove the front cover (look for 2 phillips screws at the bottom of the front cover) Once you pull the screws, pull the bottom of the front cover forward until it disengages the two top retainer clips. This will expose the interior of the machine.
The pump is at the bottom right and has the hose from the drum attached and the other hose goes out the back of the machine.
The pump is opaque plastic and you can see if there's something jammed in the pump ( like a small sock). If it's "sucked a sock" it will jam the pump and will cause the drive belts (under the machine) to burn, stretch and not pump the water out. You can replace the belts by simply reaching under the machine and moving the electric motor a little.
If you've cleared the pump and changed the belts, try running the machine through a cycle with the front cover off and see if you've solved the problem..
with Maytag, this is usually the solution... If you're still not draining, you may have a small clothing article in between the inner tub and the outer tub... this will eventually block the drain on the outer tub and prevent water from getting pumped out..
You can use a straightened out coat hanger with a small hook bent on one end, take the top onf the machine loose (2 machine bolts hold the front corners down and tip it back away from the machine case. This will allow you to take the top cover off the outer drum exposing the space between the inner and outer drums. Take your "fishing rod" coat hanger and fish between the two drums on the right side near the drain hole... Most times you can snag and remove the blockage and pull it out.
Hope this solves your issue.. please let us know if we can help you further ...
