If you mean the lens won't extend when you turn on the camera, try these procedures.

Nikkor lens 18-55 not working

I am assuming by "not working" you mean that it does not auto focus. Does your camera work with other lenses? You need to verify that the problem is the lens and not the camera. First try cleaning the electrical contacts on both the camera and lens using a pencil eraser. If that does not solve the problem, it is probably the motor in the lens. Send the lens to Nikon for repair.

Lens doesn't work but the letter "F - -" blinks on and off on the camera.

"F--" means the camera thinks there is either no lens attached or a non-cpu lens is attached. Looked on bottom of camera for a very small reset button. If one is there, turn camera on and press for about 2 seconds. With camera off, remove lens and with a slightly moistened pad, clean electrical contacts on bot lens and camera body. If neither works, see if a different lens does work. If a different lens works, then it is the original lens, if not, it is the camera.

I need your help please, I fell with my Nikon camera, the body still works, but the 55-200mm lens does not work again, for seeing through the viewfinder the image is dark. The lens does not hit with...

Okay if you have luck all that's happened is you have jarred the lens contact between the camera body and lens. Make sure the camera is turned off then remove the lens and clean the gold contacts on both the lens and camera body. Remove the battery, install the lens and replace the battery, turn the camera on. If it still doesn't work shut the camera off and try another lens and see if it work properly this will tell you if it's the camera at fault or the lens. Switch lenses between known working cameras. I'm sure you will find the lens has come loose. I only once had a lens come apart from a jar (not impact) and it actual popped apart in pieces.

What does error 01 mean

Error 01: A communication problem between the lens and the body. Try cleaning the the area between the objective/Lens and the body. If that doesn't work, try another lens. If that doesn't work, try the first lense in another body, and if that works, it's most likely the body that's broken.

I can get my 50mm lens to work with my d70 nikon.

If the lens has an aperture ring, make sure it is set on the largest f number. Make sure the lens is mounted fully on camera. Oherwise an AF 50mmm f1.8 lens should work on a D70 with no problem

Len won't close , camera won't work

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

Lens won't work with my cameral any more

Clean camera lens and body contacts with a pencil eraser,be sure to hold the contacts face-down to prevent eraser rubber from falling into the body and vigorously scrub the lens contacts with the eraser.
Check batteries
Check switch on lens

the other suggestion would be to see if the lens would work on another camera, if it doesn't well then you will know its the lens and not the camera.and then my friend my advice is to send it in.
