Question about Zoom Computers & Internet
My aunt bought an EYEBALL WEBCAM to use on her Powerbook G4. it's no fuss to install and works almost automatically with Skype however we can't seem to adjust the images (make it ZOOM OUT). How do we do that?
I've just bought a Macally Portable USB Video Webcam. It works with my powebook 10.3.9 (in fact it works with 10.2 or later) however the latest version of skype doesn't seem to work on my laptop.
I bought the cam online from www.ammicro.co.uk and it cost about £40 with postage.
So I know that's only half solved your problem, but hope it's helpful.

SOURCE: webcam won't work with Skype
Also send this to your family
and friends so they have their computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:
Hope this helps. Bud

Maccam comes with a file called maccam.component. You must copy that file to /Libraries/Quicktime which is on your main hard disk. This enables the camera to function with quicktime and other software on the Mac besides Maccam.
Read about it here:
It worked for me. Best of luck.
