What you need to do, is open your network connections. If you do not see your local area connectioin for Realtek, then click on add a new network connection. During that wizard it will ask you questions that you need to answer to hook up the connection. If the wizard does not see a nic, then you will need to go to your control panel and click on add hardware wizard and go through that wizard. If the wizard does not see the nic card, then you need to reboot the machine so it can reconnect the missing hardware. If your missing the driver your can find that HERE.
By the way I think you mean it's a RTL8139 vs. RT8139 which I think is an Audio controller. Not sure on that.
