Turn the laptop off, unplug the battery, look carefully at all the bottom covers, one of them should have a memory icon on it, unscrew the screws that hold the cover on, pull the metal tabs holding the memory outwards, they'll pop right up, take the new memory cards and carefully install them the reverse way of taking them out.

The door should look something like this:

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Do all compaq presario cq60 have a memory slot?

It has a memory card slot (left-side towards the front), but your particular memory card might be too big for the slot. There are several different variations of memory cards out now. Of course the newer the variation, the smaller that card is. This laptop is fairly new so it might not be compatible with your memory card. Does your camera have a USB cable for transferring pictures? If so, then just use that.

The monitor reads: system boot failure. Insert recovery disk.

McAffee Security or adding memory cards should not effect the ability to do a system recovery, but so be it. Here is a list of presario laptops, do you know which is yours?

Memory card

They don't sell "memory cards" for computers. However they do sell RAM(aka:memory) chips. The type of RAM you are looking for is DDR-333. It's up to you on how much you want to add.
