There are basically three options to this problem:
Buy a new phone. This is what T-Mobile will tell you to do and it'll be expensive (probably $300 or so).
Buy a new screen yourself (I'd look on E-Bay for the best price) and then fix it yourself. There are service manuals available online. This is the best option if you are mechanically inclined and have a few hours to spare.
You can send your phone to a professional repair service to do the repair for you. This is the best option if you aren't comfortable tearing apart and putting your phone back together or just don't want to spend the time doing it.
If you decide to go with option 3, I actually own a small company called Jet City Devices that does T-Mobile Wing screen replacements for a lot less than a new phone. The whole repair process usually takes less than a week (from the time you mail it out until you receive it back).
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Thats unfortunate but in the world of electronics from ebay it's not unusual. My suggestion would be to contact the seller and get them to replace the item or refund you.
If the seller is not helpful and you paid via paypal, then you have upto 60 days to make a claim as 'item not as dscribed' to get your money back or a replacement.

If you have an SD card in your phone take it out and try turning it on. You can take it out when you see it going back to the white t-mobile screen. Once the device is on and to the home screen you can insert the card again.

i think your solution to your problems is the T-Mobile Wing Flex Cable that must of gotten cut.it is the ribbon cable that allows you to move lcd up and down, the installation of replacing the cable is very hard if you dont know what your doing, trust me your lcd is not broken.
