I tried to disconnect the monitor and reconnect it and it still says no signal on the monitor. I can't get the computer to even start up at least on screen so I don't know if it is booting up or not. The computer comes on and the yellow working light is yellow for a few seconds. The monitor turns on says no signal and then goes off and the button turns yellow.

I also have this problem. I have tried putting in a new video card, new power supply, new ram, reset the CMOS, but nothing seems to work. I am starting to wonder if my CPU or Mobo overheated and burnt out. Is there any way to check my CPU or Mobo without having spare parts? Or maybe someone can think of another solution. I am stuck.

I have the same problem as well. I am assuming that the computer is not booting, but it is hard to tell when you cant see a boot screen or anything. I have tried installing a new video card, a new power supply, new ram, resetting the CMOS, but nothing seems to work. I am wondering if the CPU or Mobo was overheated and burnt out. Is there any way to check the CPU or Mobo without having spare parts to install? Or maybe someone can think of some other sugestions?

Where do I get monitoring software for my computer? I want to keep tabs of my 16 year old daughter online (My space). I know I am an over concerned parent, but she worries me a lot.

at 16 years old if you have not instilled values in her character by now it is too late
probably not your daughter but your over possessive attitude that is causing the problem and lack of demonstrated trust in your child

My car over heated replaced radiator and theostat and still over heats I notice cooling fan is not working what should I do tired of guessing please help

There is a switch that monitors the coolant temperature and perhaps this is faulty and your fan is not being turned on. If your car has been serviced lately (rad replaced) the fan may not have plugged back in. Follow the wires from the fan motor, there is usually a connector inline as well as a connector at the sensor. All models are different but this is a free and easy first step. Keep your finger away from the fan blades, they can start unexpectantly.

I have an old hp v75 desktop that the monitor won't turn on all the lights are working, fan running, nothing wrong with the power supply, but when I press the power button it turns on, but the monitor...

First remove the vga cable from the desktop and see the monitor shows no conection if showing there is no problem with ur monitor if not change the monitor if showing conect the cable back to ur desk to vga port then check the ram remove the ram clean the surface with clean cloth then rub the print using an eraser then insert the ram and switch on if still no display change the ram if still not working remove the processor heat sink na clean th surface of the processor and the heat sink apply a thin layer of heatsink solvent or thermal paste fix the heat sink then restart the computer

What's the avg temp my 2003 yzf 600 should run at

Average is around 160-200(big average I know). You can install a switch on your fan to start it earlier. They don't turn on until about 212-220, which was a little to late for my liking.

My friend karen press the power button, thre is no power... there blinking lights on the back of the computer near the fan power ...

Do you hear the harddrive start up? When you push the power button (or switch on the back) do the lights go out? If you hear fan running and hard drive start up then the computer itself might be on but the monitor isn't. Check the power to the monitor, the connection between monitor and computer to make sure they are all on and connected.

If you don' t hear the fan running then you have other problems. Any blinking lights would indicate something is getting power. I'm assuming the computer was working before the power button was pushed... If the monitor is actually working, you could hook up another monitor to check too then you have other problems but need more info to know what that could be.

would need to know the answer to the above questions as well as if it was working before, what was done, what changed between it working and this problem. Also what age the machine etc.

My monitor just died. no picture no nothing. whats going on is it fixable or thats all i'm going to get from it.

I would try your monitor on another computer to see if it works and/or try a CRT monitor on your computer and reinstall the video card drivers. I have seen a big issue with this lately where the video card drivers are getting corupted. When this happens the computer sends a signal out of range to the monitor causing it to turn off so it does not get damaged.

If your monitor does work on another computer and you need help reinstalling your video card drivers let me know.

Bios Problem

1. Unfortunately some people call the computer the modem. This is not the modem overheating but most likely the cpu. If you open your computer and look straight in at it, there is a fan. It should be running at all times. Also make sure that it is free of dust. Dust build up on and under the fan in the heatsink will cause tremendous heat issues causing your computer to just shut down. Get some canned air (available in all retail electronic store departments) and blow out the dust from the inside of your computer, especially the fan and heatsink.
2. Another cause could be a bad power supply, where some of the voltages drop so the computer just either locks up or shuts off. I place my bet on a dirty cpu, though.
