The DRM licensing on ARES is not compatible with that model of Go Gear. You will have to stick to files that are in mp3 format or UNPROTECTED WMA.

You can either manually go to your documents or where your music and copy it to your sansa. Or most people use Windows Media Player to transfer your music to your mp3 player. It takes a while to get used to Windows media player. It seems complicated at first. You can send me an email if you need more help. clklause@sbcglobal.net

Problem in files downloading onto GoGear SA5125

Subscribe to an online music service that is compatible with your GoGear, such as Rhapsody's Mp3-Only service - I repeat MP3 ONLY - no other Rhapsody service will work.

Use Windows Media Player to transfer songs to your GoGear, or Rip CD's into Mp3 format - I repeat MP3 FORMAT - using Windows Media Player.

Videos must be transferred using the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter that came on the installation CD. You can also get this program from Philips website.

You will only be able to transfer photos to your GoGear if you have used the installation CD that came with the player. It contains a critical file that Philips has never posted to their website called the Philips Device Plug-In.

Install the Philips Device Manager software and drivers from the product CD.

You then need to use the Windows Media Player, Sync function to transfer music tracks.

Whenever the mp3's are on your hard drive, use winamp (www.winamp.com/download) to transfer the mp3's.

How do i download music

You can download Ares or Limewire there is some other programs out ther but these are the ones I had experience with.

-Plug in your mp3 player

-Go into 'Limewire/Ares', select a song and go 'Locate file/Open Containg Folder', you should be in your folder with all your songs. or go 'My Music' and find your music files.

-Either select all your songs, open them with 'Windows Media Player' or the program provided and transfer them that way.

-Or 'Open My Computer' then open 'Whistler Mp3805' [something along those lines" and drag the songs from where your songs are located [My Music] to the 'Music' folder in your Whistler 3805 folder.

[MyMusic] Song.mp3 >drag to> [MyComputer/Whistler Mp3805] Music.

Downloading Ares free music

The current version of the swimp3 player will support "unlocked" music in the WMA or MP3 format. As long as you're able to create an unlocked or unencrypted version of the music or audio, you can simply copy that to the Finis Swimp3 Hard Drive. Like most mp3 players, the Drive has similar capabilities as a thumb drive or SD Card - so it's just drag and drop.

Of course, you're responsible for your own music ownership experience.

Have fun Swimming with Music.
