Question about Gaggenau EB984 Electric Single Oven
There is a heating / warming element in the back of the oven on the right-hand side that seems to stay on after operation - keeping the oven around 200f. I think this is a new occurence and may have only come about after running the self cleaning mode. The controls, including the display appear to be off.
Does anyone know how to shut this off?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Shut off te breaker for the oven for an hour then turn on again and it should come back on, just so you know Gaggenau appliances are super high end, if it needs service it will cost you

Hi, In a word yes. As for who you can contact, I'd suggest only an authorized b/s/h (bosch/thermador/gaggenau) service provider. I used to be one for over 10yrs. but now work exclusively for sears...I'm not sure if I made a good choice or not yet, lol ! I digress. It is quite possibly not even the element as the gaggenau have cut-outs (they are actual thermal fuses that cannot be reset, they must be replaced) built into the bake circuit that can open often times. This of course unless you're certain the bake element is defective. Check your local directory under appliance service or a vendor who sells that line may be well equiped to direct you for quality service in someone they trust and are proficient. Hope that helps, good luck. macmarkus :)

SOURCE: Need some detective work!
In order to get the an Owner's manual download you need to supply the E-NR FD numbers on the unit' s rating plate and go to this site https://portal.bsh-partner.com/portal(bD1kZSZjPTAwOQ==)/PORTALFRAME.HTM The rating plate looks like this
The location of the E-NR - FD numbers can be also found in the unit itself. Here are some usual locations, I know your appliance is a double wall oven, but I could not find a picture of one, so I got the closest thing available, an electric range w an electric oven.
Now, if still you can not find the oven's rating plate, I suggest to take a couple of pictures of the oven, find a GAGGENAU dealer nearby, there is an email address and Ph. # on the link above. Or, click on the SERVICE tab, select Gaggenau Worldwide from the menu to the left of the picture, select the Gaggenau Dealer closer to you, contact them and send them the pictures, explain your situation and if they can provide the E-NR FD numbers to download and owners manual. Good luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: The lower oven does not
Welcome to FixYa.
It sounds like the hi-limit safety thermostat may be tripped due to the self clean, I haven't seen anywhere in the recent dialog where this has been mentioned or that you've checked it though, have you checked ?
Unfortunately it is the non-reset type hi-limit on these ovens,( if the oven is indeed a JKP56 model ) It is shown here and is behind the grill between the two ovens... It is available at "repairclinic.com" parts vendor for approx. $30USD. but if you jump it out to test it and then replace it, we can get you back up and cooking.
** Turn off the breaker before attempting any service please...safety first **
Let me know how you make out or if indeed you've already checked the hi-limit thermostat. I'll watch for your reply. Good luck.
