Question about GoVideo Go Video DVD/VCR Combo
I TRIED MANY DVDS - IT WAS WORKING FINE LAST WEEK - IS THERE A WAY TO RESET THE MACHINE OR SOMEONE WHO CAN GIVE ME GUIDANCE OR TECHNICAL SUPPORT ON THE PHONE?
Sounds like the optics are dirty. There are some commercial lens cleaners out there for not too much money but I would NOT recommend them.
These cleaners may work fine for CD players and some claim they are for DVD players too, but the optics in the DVD's are much too delicate and it's way too easy to knock them out of alignment or scratch the delicate optic eye.
If yours is a newer model I would highly recommend that you take it to a pro for optics and rail cleaning. If this is budget DVD you may want to try to clean it yourself.
Unplug the DVD and disconnect it. Open the cover and very carefully use a camera lens cleaning tissue to clean the tiny lens. DON'T press hard and don't keep rubbing! Chances are you will clear things up in seconds ~ no pun intended. Do not use a Kleenex or TP ~ both are too harsh for the lens.
The lens looks like a clear and tiny plastic bubble. Do a Google "images" search for 'DVD laser diode' to see what they look like before you remove the cover. As long as you disconnect the AC power cord before you begin you should be finished in about five minutes!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
