Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

My display is frozen at on. Vertical Lines appear on screen

When I power on my Sansa E260 it has a screen filled with a bunch of vertical lines and won't do anything. How can I get to the welcome screen.

Try to hold down the off button and restart it, if it still shows the same screen take it for servicing.

What is happening to your laptop is the power line connecting a row of pixels is failing so only partial colors are showing up causing the vertical lines. Usually screen replacement is the only answer to fix it. You can find replacement on most LCD displays on Ebay.

it might be a faulty flex cable connector inside the housing or the LCD itself is faulty u have to replace it

You can try to reset the device by pressing the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds..if that doesnt work I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..Please follow the link below to get the firmware

Display problems

Try to reset the player at the hole that it says reset. I hope that can help.

Blue lines

Try to reset it with a needle at the a hole on the side where it says reset button (it says in the back next to the hole). I hope that can take of the problem.

I figured out that if you hold down the power button for about thirty seconds it'll power down.

It worked for me, anyway.

Remove your back plate and slip the battery out for a second. Should clear it right up no problem. Next time make sure to close programs that might be using the device before unplugging it.
