Question about Dell OptiPlex GX1 PC Desktop
My Dell Optiplex GX1 will not boot. The Monitor becomes black when video cable is connected. But when removed, no signal comes on the Monitor. What is the problem?
Check whether ur ram is working or not. remove the cpu side door and remove the ram from the ram slot and clean it using a eraser gently and fix again it back and power ur pc on and check it

Well, the GX-1 is quite the workhorse but has been around for a long time! I'm leaning towards it's dead or dying but let's look for a few things. First, when you power it up, is the power button green, maybe orange or even not at all? Do you hear or see any indications that it is running at all- sounds, beeps, etc? Next, have you tried a second monitor to see if it duplicates the same message? (These are just troubleshooting steps I'm having you go through but it's nice to rule out some stuff.) Have you installed a graphics card in it or is it still running on the onboard video? Let me know and we'll take it further if need be.
