Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
I have a toshiba A135 Satellite with 1GB RAM
It boots up to the error message "explorer has stopped working"
When I restart with Repair option using the Vista DVD, it says it can't repair the problem automatically
I click on Command Prompt. It goes to the cmd screen. Then I run CHKDSK c: /R
At stage 4 of 5 (when showing 13% complete and 13884 of 167856 files processed) it hangs and does not go forward.
What can I do now?
Bad sector in your HDD. Break all partition, install vista again, make partitions with disk management utility or partitionmagic. Compare your present disk amount with actual capacity.
You have no problem with your servicepack or update. Keep informing.
