Clarion Dpx1001.2 no audio output

I have a Clarion DPX 1001.2 amp I got and it did'nt come on when I put power to it. Then I took it apart and started doing some testing and found 1 bad zener diode. Well I replaced the diode and now it comes on but no audio. I checked all tansistors and all check out. Maybe I should do some more testing but check the smaller components more than I did. But, it has this black square thing that resembles a processor, It's got Tripath wrtten on it TA0102A. I'm thinking this might be the problem. Any help greatly appriciated. I have 2 degrees in electronics so I know what I'm doing. Please help

Hello, I also have built circuit boards and have made my own amps, car and guitar amps. About 15 years ago I made them. I also have 2 degrees in electronics. Also got those 16 years ago. I was just asking on here first cause I just got back into repairing electronics, I should say mainly car amps and currently opening my own business. It's all coming back slowly. second I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem for a quick fix and it's a class T and has that Tripath modual and I have'nt had the knowledge nor came across any of these yet from my customers. So anyway, no my friend it's not the Tripath. After I replaced the zener diode and amp came on I was thinking the same thing. So the next day, cause it was late, I was doing some more checking and found resistor R46 which is a 1.1 ohm resistor was bad. Replaced and amp works great. Resistor comes off the torroidal transformer then into a diode. So make sure you allways check your components, all of them if you have to. Also a guy on here named pbabin on here helped me with this. He is a very nice and well knowledged person and we are becoming goos friends. He gave me the to check the resistor also. He has his own sit dedicated to car amp repair. I recomend to check it out, it's a great site that help people repair amps. It's www.bcae1.com Thanks for the help though I appriciate it.

Hi i trying to figure out how to wire up my rca's i have a pionner deck in on the back of it it has front output, rear output, sub output ,and also a audio output .now im trying to up it to a clarion eq that...

The "Front output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the "Main In" on the Clarion EQ. I'm assuming that your Clarion EQ can only deal with one input, and will send the adjusted (equalized) signal out both of the outputs.
The "Front output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Front Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Rear output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Rear Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Sub output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the Left/Right Input on the Epicenter. The Left/Right Output on the Epicenter would need a Y-splitter for each side, so that you could connect each amp separately. One suggestion would be to use one sub amp for both subs.

Clarion apa4320 amp power light pulses

There is not enough power coming from you radio to power the amp. You might want to look in to a capacitor. What this will do is it will pull in the power and maintain a steady output for your amp to operate
