Question about Computer Speakers

Chipmunk speed My sound on my computer used to work fine and now I can't use the headphone jack and when I plug in speakers in the back everything sounds like chipmunks! I've noticed that when on youtube the seconds go up faster then they should. Any suggestions? (my computer has windows 2000)

I would try to update the drivers for your sound card. If there is not an update try uninstalling the driver and re-installing it again. I had this problem with my speakers recently and this worked for me. Did not have the chipmunks sound though.

Speakers work in the front headphone jack on my Dell PC, but not in the audio jacks in the back of the computer

I think most computers do not have headphones in the rear, just LINE OUT, which has no enough volume to be used for headphones.

Can 2.1 pc speakers work thru headphone jacks?

No it's not possible to have a sound. Because the HDMI and the Headphone (3.5mm jack) are on two different technologies.

The monitor does not have a way to convert the sound from HDMI to Headphone.

There could be a converter that might convert the sound signal from HDMI to headphone (but I'm not sure).

My computer speakers just went silent in the middle of a song

Do the speakers have power? Check the fuse.

Where are you plugging your headphones?
Where are the speakers connected? Is it the same jack as the headphones?

Have you tried plugging the speakers into the headphone jack vs the soundcard?

Bose Companion 3 series II speakers aren't producing sound (imac)

from what I've read, the imac has a 3.5mm (.138) jack while the Bose jack is 1/8 (.125). very small difference in size (.013), but enough to cause problems.

Sony MDR-V150 Headphones

hi Mrguitar
Happy holidays
Depending on the conector size and for the computer, I suggest go to Radio Shack and buy a extention jack to the headphone for your particular sound card, and headphone. this should work. sometimes the new conectors don't fit well on the sound cards. so change for an extention I send you a link of example

No sound

Most computers use the GREEN output jack on the sound card for playback...plug your headphones in the back where the speakers go...sound? Yes...then verify you ahve the speaker system put together correctly...bet you don't...note: self powered speakers must be plugged in to work (electrical plugged in). If no...then you got a bigger fish to fry... Good lUck
