Question about Sigma f/NIKON- 28-90/3.5-5.6 Aspherical Zoom Lens f/Nikon AFD IMP AF Zoom Lens 600440i
I am unable to switch from manual focus to auto focus on my nikon d40. In the menu when i try to switch from MF in the custom setting menu, it tell me, "this option is not available with current settings." i have an aspherical 28-90mm D lens. Help!
Your 28-90 AF-D lens can't autofocus with the D40, which requires AF-S lenses with a focus motor in the lens. Sigma lenses with "HSM" (HyperSonic Motor) in the name also have the focus motor.
