A whining sound typically has one of three sources; alternator, power steering pump, or transmission.

Well, not sure if the temps have a direct cause for your problem, but you may want to check the CV joints on your axles. If you have ripped a boot, and lost the grease, that could cause a whinning. There are also a few other things it could be as well............any more info?

ok the lifters are making noise, make sure you are using the right oil for your temp zone. also add some lucas oil to your engine oil, it will quiet down the engine.

Maxima problems

Sounds like you have a wheel bearing going out. Try swerving car left to rt on a straight road with NO traffic. If the noise is louder one way and less or gone the other it's a wheel bearing

I have an 86 nissan pulsar that i bought for around 1500 and it has 133,000 miles. runs just fine.. what would it cost/ what do i need to add ac to it? thanks for the help.

It didn't come with a/c?If it didn't and you want a new a/c installed,it is probably &1500 & up.Call around for estimates. As far as doing it yourself and there isn't one already in it,I am not sure how you would work the compressor into the system.Good luck!
