I have unplugged and re-plugged in the screen but it does not roll up. There is nothing obstructing or touching the screen.

Check that the gears, and the screen itself is not stuck with dirt, that can be reason for screen not rolling up.

Hi

Please try to switch it off and then switch it on . Also check for any obstructions on the motor/screen.

As there springs from the sides can get dettached while pulling it too hard or may have deformed. Please check for any detached or deformed springs.

Also check for any obstruction near the motor assembly

    Thanks

    Rylee

The screen rolls for a long time then stops after tv been on for a while

If it rolls up or down it is bad caps in the vertical circuit, if it rolls left to right then its bad caps in the Horizontal circuit.

Hi! where can i purchase a 12 volt trigger cable for a motorized screen

Hello,
Most projectors have a 1/8 inch (mono) or tip and sleeve female connector for screen trigger and output 12volts dc when the projector is powered up. So if the Optima screen has the optional trig in and it's 12 volts the cable is very easy to put together. Optima may have a cable available or you could spend just a few bucks at Radio Shack and your all set.

Screen won't stop rolling out

There is a rubber grommet on the left top of the projection screen, insert the supplied Allen key and turn anticlockwise and adjust turn by turn till the screen rolls out with just 2 to 3" of the black border shows on the top

My quartet projection screen will not go back up. I think someone pulled it down too far.

The problem is most likely a damaged spring end cap. As you face the screen from the front, this is the cap that covers the right end of the cylinder that encloses the screen material. The cap is held in place by 3 Phillips head screws. If you remove the spring end cap, you will see a slot in it that is designed to hold the spring assembly stationary as you pull down on the screen. If this slot is damaged, then the internal spring inside the roller will lose tension. The fix is to pull out the screen & roller assembly, roll it back up manually, then replace the spring end cap with a new one. (I believe the part # from Quartet Apollo is K0329). The cap at the other end has a cup receiver designed to accept the pin end that is on the left side of the cylinder that houses the screen material. The tricky part is fitting the pin end back into the pin end end cap. It is easier with 2 people. If you fashion a short hook out of a coat hanger. you can use it to lift the pin end into the pin end cap. There are part #'s and exploded diagrams on the Pegasus part sales website: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl?c=440001. The site is down now for maintenence, but it should be back up soon. HTH

check for swollen capacitors- bad capacitors will cause the screen to roll. If the top of a capacitor even looks SLIGHTLY puffed up, replace it!

Rolling screen

Does the onscreen menu roll too? If so, vertical hold needs to be adjusted. Not sure if on this model if that's in the service menu or a manual adjustment on the motherboard. Keep searching google and see if anyone else has had that issue too.
Good Luck!
