Hi, I have problem with my USB modem. It's cricket usb modem, and before it worked fine. After re installation of laptop i set up drivers and i connect on internet but after 2-5 min it cannot receive connection. I checked if is because serial port, it is on com4. I turned off serial port in bios, and still same. It shows some error on modem log. It shows like it couldnt receive conection. Also modem worked on other computer, and i use wind xp. Drivers that i downloaded are from Lenovo web site. I need help. Thank you

HI Gmp6329 go to the control panel of you PC. In the control panel you are looking for device manager. Under the device manager look for the cricket modem and see if has a yellow ! point. if you see this uninstall the modem. Also if there is a disc that you need to install make sure it is the latest version. You can go to www.cricket.com and download it to you PC.

It is not possible to connect your USB modem to belkin router... You need to run an ethernet cable between the modem and router...
Belkin routers are not compatible with USB modems like cricket broadband, MTS Mblaze modem etc...
with a laptop connect the laptop to ps3 with an ethernet cable and on the cricket modem connection goto properties and turn on connection sharing and choose the local are connection as device to share with
ok u have tata indicom in this usb modem u have cd with this for tata indicom usb modem driver first u have to install this cd in computer after this use the modem other wise the modem not working...ok pls install the usb modem cd in your computer.

You don't have the hardware, when you do, xp will install the driver automatically. You can get a PCMCIA card with usb 2.0 and plug it in the slot in the side, around $15 should do it and it is over 20 times faster than 1.1
why fight it , let it be on com 1 then, go into the bios and disable the serial ports . that may be the easiest fix as long as you don't need the serial port for anything. but if you have a serial mouse oh boy.
