Question about Philips Magnavox 32MT6015D TV

1 Answer

No picture on magnavox 32MT6015D

Power on indicator on front of set seems to be flashing a code - one long flash, a pause, and then 9 short flashes. Then repeats. There is a thin white line about 1/4 from the top of the screen, running from left to right.

THAT THIN WHITE LINE IS YOUR HORIZONTAL LINE MEANING YOU ONLY HAVE THAT. THE GOO NEWS IS YOU HAVE HIGH VOLTAGE MEANING YOU ONLY NEED VERTICAL TO FIX IT.. I WOULD REPLACE THE VERTICAL TRANSISTOR OR CHECK FOR ANY BURNED RESISTORS ON THE VERTICAL SIDE

What does a blinking orange light on 65" Mitsubishi dlp rear projection TV mean?

Self Diagnostics

The V18 Chassis features Self Diagnostics to aid in troubleshooting problems that may cause the set to

automatically turn off or "shut down." The "Timer/Power ON LED" provides an indication of the sets operation,

and the possible cause of a malfunction.

1. Initial Control Circuitry Check

Immediately after the TV is connected to an AC power source:

• The LED flashes three times ... indicating the Microprocessor has initialized and is functioning

properly.

• If the LED does not flash ... the Microprocessor is NOT functioning.

2. Error Code Operational Check

To activate the Error Code Mode, while the set is OFF, press the front panel "INPUT" and "MENU" buttons

at the same time and hold for 5 seconds. The LED will flash denoting a two digit Error Code.

Note: The Front Panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.

• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.

• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.

• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.

• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

Example: For Error Code is "24", the LED will flash 2 times, pause, and then flash 4 times.

3. Error Codes

The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below:

"12" ... indicates no error has occurred.

"21" ... X-Ray Protect circuit.

"22" ... Short Protect circuit.

"23" ... Horizontal Deflection failure.

"24" ... Vertical Deflection failure.

When it shuts off. Try doing what's called a self-diagnostic test.
As soon as the television shuts try these steps.

Pressing on the front panel's ?INPUT? and ?MENU? buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,
activates the Self Diagnostic Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem
has occured since the last Initalization.

Please do Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.

? The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.
? The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.
? The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.
? The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.
Example: If the Error Code is ?24?, the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash four
times.

The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below:
Self Diagnosic Code Description
1 - 2 = no error detected
2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current)
2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies)
2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection)
2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source).

Certainly, I can help you. I would recommend going to the following link and getting the service manual so you can see first hand disassembly instructions and testing procedures. Its only 10.99 and they email it to you shortly after purchase. The manual is a valuable resource as it will have part numbers in case you do need a new KD board. heres the link.

Getting an error code of flashing 9 times then pause then flashing

Pride Mobility Products Corp Product Owners Manuals Specification Sheets Click on "Celebrity X"

9-flash usually indicates a blown controller. The larger pride scooters are known for blowing controllers and having melt-downs when they are pushed or towed too fast. EVEN WITH THE KEY OFF the controller still monitors the safety systems. If the system detects a "roll-away" situation, the controllers turn on and go into dynamic braking mode in attempt to slow or stop the scooter. If the scooter is being towed or pushed and this happens, the scooter tries to stop the motion, overheats and burns up. Catastrophic failure and 9-flashes will result.

What does a flashing yellow light mean on the joystick? the light looks like the shape of a wrench.

Hi Judy,

According to Pride's troubleshooting documents the service indicator (wrench icon) will flash when a fault is detected by the dynamic controller.

The number of flashes, followed by a 2 second pause, indicates the issue. You will need to count the flashes to determine the cause and a possible solution.

I have typed the flash codes below, but you can also see them on a larger table here: http://www.fixya.com/support/p3641679-pride_jazzy_614_hd_jazzy_614hd/usermanual-6B42026-pdf

Trouble codes: 1,2,4

dodge codes of this era were 2 number codes not single number codes.recheck your codes flashing on the dash,or with what ever tool your using.there should be a flash close together then a short break then more flashes close together then a longer pause before the next code flashes.cont the flashes that are close together that is one number of the code then after the short pause count the next number of flashes this is the second half of the code.then a new code flashes after the long pause.so if the first code flashes once then after short pause it flashes twice this is a code 12.then a new code flashes after the longer flash, but always a 2 number code.also be aware that dodge uses a code 12 to indicate the start of the code sequence and a code 55 indicates the end of the code sequence.thats why its better to use a scan tool to see what codes are in the computer as sometimes a flash is missed or not counted.

Why my tv turn off on its own

Most projection TVs that turn themselves off will flash a code on the power light (or a light). (Usually 2 to 9 flashes, a pause and then repeat). Give this code to a Magnavox service center and they may be able to say what is wrong.

Engine light comes on after driving for alittle while. then it goes off when ign. is turn off and restated.

The light indicates a problem w/ the fuel injection or emissions system. You can check for engine codes that will give info on the problem. Cars 96 and up have a port to plug in a code reader for this info. On your 92, there is a wire you must 'jump'. The wire should be hanging down just out of view under the dash all the way to the right side. You may have to remove the 'kick panel' from the front passenger side. This is the trim panel just in front of the door, just above foot level. The connector has 2 points to plug in a wire, which u need to provide. Plug in a scrap short piece of wire, from one then bend it to plug into the other opening (it will now be in a u shape), turn the key on, but do not start the car. Watch the check engine light, it will flash in a series of short and long flashes. A short flash stands for #'s 1 thru 9, two digit codes use a long flash for the first #, followed by a short flash for the second. A pause between flashes indicates more than one code. Example: a code 2 and 14 would be 2short flashes, followed by a pause, then 1 long flash followed by 4 short flashes. After you get the codes, turn key off, remove jumper wire, post them here and I'll help.
