My list button doesn't work on my Time Warner remote

Well we just recently upgraded to DVR and for some reason I can record things with the DVR but I can't get the List button to work to see what I have recorded. Please help...

    my list button doesnt work. i have to go to SETTING- DVR- MY RECORDED PROGRAMS and LIVE doesnt work. PLAY and such work...any ideas?

Idk my remote does that too. We just got it like a month ago and we cant watch anything we record

If you can't get "list" hit the A button right below settings, then hit the right arrow at the select/ok button, go to "apps" then hit DVR, this gets you to your recordings, I just now figured that out, as my list button will not work either. Hope this helps

Menu, dvr, my recordings... My list button just stopped working too, but that is the other way to get to it.

I had a new dvr added to my TWC cable services,but installer did not totally explain how to record or find recordings after taping. Can anybody tell me how to remedy this problem?

How do I record a show using my DVR and i-Guide?

There are multiple ways to do this:
  1. Press the RECORD button on your remote control while watching a program to begin recording. An overlay will appear on your screen to let you know you have started recording.
  2. From the TV listings grid, highlight the show you want to record and press the Record button.
  3. From any program information screen, highlight the Record icon and press the OK/Select button on your remote to schedule a recording. Follow the on-screen prompts for additional recording options.
Manually schedule a recording for a specific time or channel:
  1. Press the MENU button on your remote control then select the DVR icon.
  2. Or, if available, press the My DVR button on your remote control.
  3. Select the start time, end time and day that you want to record.
  4. Press Confirm.
  5. In the channel list that appears, select the channel to record from.
  6. Select Record to confirm your settings or select Recording Options for additional options.

Techintion setup DVR to record speed channel daily at 7 pm now every night at 7 the channel changes to speed channel how do I stop it?

The following is instructions for deleting timers from your receiver.

Turn your TV on. Press your DVR button on your DISH remote 2 times. This will bring up My Recordings on your TV. Select the Schedule button on the right of the screen. This will take you to the Daily Schedule screen. Select the Timers button on the right. You will be on the Timers List screen. Press and release the Left Arrow button on the remote to move the cursor into the Timers List box. Select the timer you want to remove. After pressing select on the remote, there is a button on the right, Delete. Select the Delete button and it will ask you if you are sure you want to delete the timer. Select Yes. You will need to follow those steps to delete all timers you do not want. As you delete timers, you will not see those timers on the Timers List or the Daily Schedule anymore. I hope this helps.

turn off your cable box
turn off the dvr
disconnect cable box from wall outlet
disconnect dvr from wall outlet
unplug e-sata cable from dvr
replug e-sata cable back in to dvr
plug dvr into wall outlet
turn on dvr
plug in cable box to wall outlet
turn on cable box
wait for cable box to go completely thru startup procedure
...then try your list button again.

The rewind/ff/record and pause buttons won't work. Everything else seems fine.


This will be due to either your Hard Drive crashing if you cant also access your recordings. if so then i would reccommend call dish At 800-333-3474 bercause your 721 DVR is outdated and discontinued. It also is in patent dispute with tivo. When you contact dish they will offer you a new dual tuner DVR reciver with way more recording time. this upgrade should be free of charge as well.

I have a DVR from my cable company which I recently replaced. I have the cable coming to the DVR, then out to my RCA DVD recorder, then out from the DVD to my Vizio TV. I have an HDMI cable connection...


IT SOUND LIKE THERE SHOULD BE AN INPUT BUTTON ON YOUR CABLE OR T.V REMOTE TRY CHANGING THE INPUT. ALSO TRY PLUGGING DIFFERENT AUDIO AND VIDEO CABLES BETWEEN RECORDER AND TV. ALONG WITH YOUR HDMI.

Want to copy shows recorded to DVR onto computer Howto...

Unfortunately as a Dish Network Employee I must inform you that acording to Dish that is not possible however a good computer tech may be able to help you with a work around but keep in mind that if any damage occurs to the receiver that Dish will charge you for the receiver. When you do upgrade check into the receiver models that have an expansion port for an external hard drive. A 211 which is a solo hidefinition receiver without DVR can have a port activated for as one time charge of 39.99 and you can use the hard drive you supply as the DVR. Yoiu also will not be accessed the 5.98 DVR fee every month and if the receiver needs replacing you still have your recordings. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Samsung DVD SH853M Freeview/HDD/DVR. Recorded list - cannot access


The Manual fro this machine is typically vague on the minutae of setting up and performing various functions.

Apparantly the 'standby button' on the handset should be in the 'off' position not the 'on'.

The logic of the layman can seee it as the opposite. This does work..... and thank you for your patience.
