When i did this i had the same problem but while it does recognise it for just a little whyle, quickly press quick update and wait for the bar to go from one side to the other and then wait for it to
update your action replay from a to z and then it should recognise it after that but if not just do it again but dont push the wire in to far ok.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My action replay ds leaves the start screen but then just goes white even before it reaches the main menu.i tried blowing on it it and it still does the same thing

Hello dijanilaplac,

There can be many problems with your Action Replay DS. Try taking the Action Replay out of your Nintendo DS Lite Console, and look at the part those goes into the DS. Make sure nothing is bent, or missing. If something is, it might mean you may have to have it repaired, or replaced. Also keep in mind that sometimes Action Replays can be sensetive, so don't move it around while playing, or it may cause your DS to freeze up.

If you just bought this Action Replay recently, it should have been supplied with a CD to insert into your computer. You should install Action Replay onto your computer. When you have been brought to the main Action Replay Code Manager, find your USB and Action Replay plug in. Plug the small end into the top of the Action Replay cartridge, and the USB into the computer. Now a New Hardware wizard should have popped up on your computer.

When prompt, select, "Install from specific location.", then click next. Then select Search from CD-ROM. Sometimes it may sound different, just select the one that says something about searching from a CD-ROM. After this has completed, reset your Action Replay.

If the problem persists, feel free to contact me, for questions, or replies.
Nate,

Why isn't my action replay allowing me to play pokemon white?

The following two links are for the firmware upgrade for both ARDS and ARDSi. Select and download the file appropriate for your needs.

ARDS Firmware Upgrade: http://www.mediafire.com/?qcw53cpx8u4et1w

ARDS(i) Firmware Upgrade: http://www.mediafire.com/?sr346bj5589gkg4

Now, as for what to do after you download your file;

  1. Open the Code Manager
  2. Get your AR, your DS(i), Code Manager Disk, and the Manager open on your Desktop.
  3. Turn on the DS(i) with the AR in it, with the cable connected to the computer.
  4. Drag the file you downloaded into the manager, and it should automatically update the AR, and thus, make Pokemon Black/White AR Codes work for you!

If you have any issues with this or need further instruction, feel free to make a post here and ask. We will try our best to help you.

ARDS

The game or AR is might be dusty. Or the action replay is broken. Try opening it up and see if anything is broken. But AR's don't work very well any way.

The data on the ARDS became corrupt and you just need to hook it back up to your computer and add all the games back. You can just click quick update

Action Replay code manager wont read me action replay

Your replay needs re-setting....
  1. With your console powered off insert the Action Replay DS
  2. Hold down buttons A+B
  3. Turn your console on
  4. With A+B still held down, as soon as you see the Action Replay DS license screen press and hold down buttons START+SELECT so that you now have 4 buttons held down
  5. Hold all 4 buttons down for around 10 seconds until the Action Replay DS loads to it`s home screen
  6. If Action Replay DS doesn’t hold on the license screen for around 10 seconds when you do this, you may need to turn off and try again
You can tell if it needs re-setting by...;

* Code Manager PC software is reporting that Action Replay DS does not contain enough free space when it actually contains no codes.
* Code Manager PC software is reporting the console`s battery is low when it’s actually fully charged.
* Multicoloured bars are shown on the screen after you confirm the entry of a game ID when trying to manually enter codes. * You can use the Code Manager PC software without any problems until the Action Replay DS is connected via USB set to the update mode on the console, at which point Windows shows a run time error.
If you are experiencing any of these problems, please follow the steps below to reset the Action Replay DS hardware. Please beware that resetting the Action Replay DS hardware will not restore a default codelist, and any codes which are stored on the Action Replay DS will be erased.

Action Replay for Nintendo DS

Sorry, my last desc should be ignored here are all to solutions to problems. I know:

Prob: Two white Screens:
Solution: none so far, have emails sent to Datel. see what happens. This occurs when attempting save codes with the DS and the AR is pulled out or DS powered off. My suggestion if you get a new one, only update codes using the PC software.

Prob: AR keeps asking for game cart. insertion:
Solution: remove AR and put in game cart.

Prob: AR not enough memory to update codes:
Solution: there is more bugs in their software/firmware that doesn't really know when items are deleted and space is free. You must reset AR cart. and then use the PC software to reload all the codes:

a) First I would update the AR PC software (no DS AR connected)
b) Connect DS with AR to PC then update the AR firmware
c) Disconnect DS AR from PC
d) DS off hold A+B when TURN ON DS when DS logo shows press START+SELECT with A+B still down as well, hold for a while. turn off DS
e) Reconnect to PC, turn on DS and drag the PC US codes to the DS side. (Note: I had to do 4 & 5 a couple of times it finally worked)

Prob: AR PC software not seeing the DS AR connection: Solution: The PC drivers are not being found for the NDS link. You need to do the following:

a) close the AR PC software, and disconnect the AR DS.
b) connect the AR DS and then the windows new hardware driver install window pops up. must select using the manual browse option.
c) go the the action replay directory either on the action replay CD you bought or from a extracted version from the web. (NOTE: this is not the installed location, but before where the setup.exe exists) I had lost my CD and did about 10 minutes and found a .rar of the source code.
d) pick the action replay subdirectory and click on install
e) you should see the NDS link drivers being installed.
f) start the AR PC software and attempt to connect the DS AR it should work.

-- I hope this helps anyone --
