Heater starts then stops. Screen shows reset and fault 13

You need to look on the legend on your furnace blower door for the meaning of this error code, it can only be a few things, since you say the unit lights up and runs but shuts down the high limit circuit is suspect, I would check the air filter and insure all supply vents are open, the limit may be bad however a cracked heat exchanger will also do this so a free inspection by your gas co will be a great idea once you get it running again.

Goodman # GMS81155CNA light blinks 4 times - furnance won't light and blower runs all the time - it's cold - please help

The 4 blinks means that the high limit switch or the regular limit switch are tripped... try to find the high limit switch... it is usually near the blower...there will be a red reset button in the center of it... push it in and the unit should work again...
if the regular limit switch is kicked you may have to replace it for the unit to work again...
This often happens after a power failure if the unit was running at the time of the failure. If you did not have a power failure, then find out why the limit switch kick out...

Here is a tip that will help you try to figure out why yourfurnace is not working.

Pilot light is on,thermostat set to very hot, but exhaust fan is constantly running

Your blower/ fan switch is open. This is a safety switch that will open if the unit get to hot usually around 220 deg. The switch is located near your indoor blower and has a manual reset. You will need to get this serviced as it is a safety feature on your unit and your heat will not turn on while it is tripped. A cracked heat exchanger could be the cause of the trip but usually its just a failed switch that needs replaced.

My reddy heater 115 pro starts, but shuts off after about 5 seconds of running , i replaced the filters and nozzle about 2 years ago

Here is a service manual:

If the flames actually starts but the unit shuts off after 5 seconds you need to check the pump cover on your heater to make sure you have no cracks in the rear cover.
This could be from low pump pressure but most often this problem is caused from a defective control board.

Pilot light goes out after when unit turns off> have replaced thermocouple and pilot lights instantly but after unit runs and cycles off pilot goes out. Flame from pilot appears to be too large

Either you have a weak gas valve that will have to be changed or thir may be a partial blockage in the vent system or crack in heat exchanger. Does the flame change when the blower comes on? If so, crack! Check the venting system to make sure it is getting good fresh air and no exhaust is being sucked back in.

DESA ReddyHeater R55BT will not stay lit. Sometimes it will huff and puff and blow a cloud of black smoke and quit; other times it will light for a moment or two and go out; others still it will run 2-3...

this unit has neither flame sensor or oxygen has an photo cell in it.look at the plate that is on the back of unit.that is the air pump filter cover.if you look very closly you will probbaly see tiny cracks around one of the holes, either the adjuster or the plug.these covers crack all the time and they are not noticeable.when they crack it changes the air pressure and the unit doesn't work right.let me know and i hope this was helpful to you.

35000 reddy kerosene heater

My unit is a kerosene 35000 btu unit...just had similar issue.
It is very possible that the spark plug is
  1. fouled out (dirty)
  2. mis-gapped
take the top cover off, you will see the plug. There is a sheetmetal plate held on by two screws holding the ground, plug, and nozzle together. It is easier to just remove the plate (you will have problems with the plug nut if you don't).

remove the plug with a plug socket, probably 5/8.
I used brake parts cleaner to spray off the electrode of the plug then a wire brush to clean it.

check your plug gap...this might be crucial. my gap was specified on a label stuck on the inside of the bottom of the body. The plug on my unit was way too small. Adjust gap if necessary using feeler guages.

reinstall parts and plate. (I actually tack-welded the plug nut into place for ease of maintenance later). Note that the electrode needs to be a specific angle, relative to nozzle....probably diagrammed on the same label as the gap spec.

replace top and see if she'll fire up.

...last note...also might check your fuel pickup/filter. It is located behind the side panel in the unit

good luck...hope I have helped you
