Question about KitchenAid Superba Architect KSCS25INSS Side by Side Refrigerator

Center partition wall of refrigerator is hot !

I own a KitchenAid KSCS25INSSOO - side-by-side refrigerator.  The serial number is #SS4037843.  The unit is between 3-4 years old and has been operating quite nicely in our kitchen since we bought it.  It still works fine, but I've noticed that recently the 2" wide face of the center partition wall is getting very hot (not warm - hot !).  Even the vinyl/magnetic door gaskets that seal against this thin center wall are getting hot  Concerned, I pulled the frig out from the wall and vacuumed behind.  At this point I noticed that the removable access plate on the bottom/back of the frig was hot as well.  I did a little research online and it sounds like the cooling fan is not operating properly.  Curious if there are operational features that I am not aware of that might solve the problem, or if it is time to call for service.  If it is time for service, How can I check to make sure that I don't pay more than I should ?
Thanks very much - Steve W.

Condenser fan is unobstructed, Coils were very dirty, I had always cleaned along the front, but I see you have to force your way back in there. So, what about a overload switch? I guess I have to check power coming into the condenser but I don't see any good test points

Sounds like your condenser fan isn't working...Take the back cover off to see if there's anything stuck in the fan blades. Usually when the fan stops, the compressor & tubing that runs between the doors get really hot. You may also want to clean your condenser coils.

Refrigerator model kscs25inssoo. Don't stop filling ice box in the door

you have a problem with the optics--if you look on the inside wall of the freezer section on the left side you will see a eye with a flipper on the left is another eye with the icemaker on off selection when ice reaches that level in the bin it cuts off a laser beam that runs from one side to another which stops power to the icemaker---clean both sets right and left eyes and unplug the fridge for 2min this will reset the optics--if problem still persists you will need new optics-part#-4389102

could be a problem with a dirty condenser or your condenser fan may be no good. That will cause the center panel to be hot and will prevent the refrigerator from cooling properly. Is the sides of the fridge hot to the touch as well?

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.

Kitchenaid side by side model #DS 110022-RN refrigerator. The refrigerator side not cooling, air flow through top vent almost non-existent. The freezer side is at 0 or below with a very strong blow. The...

Either you have a defrost problem blocking airflow to the fresh food section or you have a blockage in the vent. You're going to have to unplug the refrigerator look in the back of the freezer and see if there's ice build-up on the rear wall of the freezer. Try again with that model number I do not believe that is the correct model number it should have Mod: before the model number.
Appliance 911 Sea Breeze if your refrigerator has an additional cooling Zone in the fresh food compartment you may have a damper that is stuck open but I'm going to have to have the correct model number to help you

Center front partition is very hot!

Either your coils are dirty ( clean from the front after removing the kickplate , only what you can get to ) or , the condensor fan motor is bad ( motor which cools the compressor ) .
