Philips CD burner CDD-4801/81 just quit running.
Running WinME. "My Computer" shows it is working properly. Shows up
correctly on "Device Manager" but does recognize CD when inserted. Keeps
asking to insert CD. No changes made to system other than WinME updates.
Is this a firmware problem?
This also happened on a friends Compaq computer and he replaced it with
Cyber CD/RW drive and works fine.
