Blade wont stay in Bosch 1882VS jig saw

I can't seem to get the blade to stay in my jig saw. I found a screw that was loose, down through the handle, but when i tighten it the blade starts to tighten but then also starts to turn clockwise and ultimately the blade is not sitting straight on the guide wheels. What am ai doing wrong ? ...PS I;m using bosch jigsaw blades.
Tks

From your description I cannot say for certain, but it sounds as though you are not locking the blade correctly, or the blade lock mechanism is broken. You can tell if the blade-lock is working by clicking it. It should make an audible "click" that you can feel. Also, you can pull on the blade ( with the saw UN-plugged of course!) and feel if it is properly seated. If you are operating the blade-lock according to the instructions and it still doesn't lock positively, see a service center before you use the tool again. A broken blade-lock could be dangerous.

Bosch b4300 jigsaw blade replacement

To change the Bosch B4300 blade - If the grey knob does not turn to release the broken blade, you need to use a LONG THIN flathead screwdriver down the center hole at the top. Unscrew until the broken blade is loose. Pull out. Replace the new blade and then screw the it tight through the same hole at the top. DONE.

How do you change a blade in the Bosch Jig Saw Model 1587 AVS

Pull the black knob on the top front of the handle up and turn it clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen. I'd turn it counter clockwise at forst just to make sure it's loose enough to accept the blade when you start.

Installing blade on a bosch jigsaw

The black part on top of the handle must be pulled directly up about 1/2 an inch. this engages the screw mechanism that loosens the blade. For some people doing this the first time feels like they are going to break the handle but it moves easier over time. Now turn the black handle counterclockwise several turns and the blade will hang loose in the holder. Turn the blade 90 degrees and remove it. Place a new blade in and turn back 90 degrees. Tighten the handle on top until it clicks. Align the black handle to the main handle and press back down into place.

My bosch jigsaw keeps saing sideways!!!

Most Bosch jigsaws have a handle on the top of the main handle that you need to pull up and rotate counterclockwise to allow the screw to accept the blade. Insert the blade and rotate 90 degrees into position then tighten the handle and press back down into place. In the beginning it may seem like you are going to break the handle pulling it up but rest assured it will get easier as it gets used.

Not sure how the blade seats in saw pneumatic bosch jig saw i can get it to go in but the blade seems to wander and seems to be unstable

do you have the screwdriver that came with the saw? if not you need a longer straight slot screw driver and it must be ground down to fit into the blade clamp tightener. it is a narrower than usual screw driver. I lost mine and had to custom make one. good luck.

What is the process to change a saw blade on Bosch GST 2000 jig saw SDS system

There is a lever on the handle, you have to pull it up and rotate it counter clockwise about 3 times (shouldn't take any more than that. The blade will be loose now,put in the new blade and turn the back lever clockwise until it clicks. The blade should be tight, push the lever down and move it into the slot in the handle.

I hope this helps
