Edata security not properly installed then shuts down comp
If you start the laptop in safe mode, you should be able to uninstall acer edata security. It is not a necessary application ant this should solve the issue. To start the laptop in safe mode, start tapping the f8 key when you see the acer logo when you power the laptop on. You will get a black screen with white print offering you several startup modes. Choose 'safe mode' and boot into windows. If e-data security will not uninstall in safe mode (not all programs do) then you should either take it to a shop for repair, or back up your data (if you can boot into safe mode), and restore the laptop to factory original condition. To do this, press the alt and f10 keys together repeatedly right when you see the acer logo at power on. It make take a few tries to get the timing right on your key pressing, but this will initiate the routine that will restore the laptop to the original windows installation it shipped from the factory with. THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE C: DRIVE - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP ANY FILES YOU NEED TO AN EXTERNAL DRIVE BEFORE PROCEEDING. If you still have issues, then get back to me and I will help.
