I just opened mine... the top does no good... you go through the front... two screws on the bottom... then 2 screws on that pannel... you can reach the pump from there and feed the hose...

Amana NTW4700YQ Top Load Washer will not drain

Hopefully you have it under warranty. You will probably need another wire harness. Double check your outlet to make sure it is grounded properly because they will 'nit pick' and tell you it is your fault for not having a properly grounded outlet.

Drain Hose (Pump to Back Panel) Replacement (part #W10358149) - Whirlpool/Kenmore Washer Repair

Im trying to replace the fill valve on a Kenmore washer model # 110.28812790 serial # CG4186264. I am having trouble getting the back off to get to the valve. Do you know how to do this? Thanks

I just replaced the fill valve on my front load Kenmore Elite HE4T it is actually a very easy fix.
1. Turn off the hot/cold water supply to the washer. 2. Remove the top cover of the washer by removing the three screws located at the top of the back panel. 3. Lift up the rear of the top cover about 1" and pull toward the rear of the washer. The top cover should pop off. 4. Remove the water supply hoses if they are not marked "H" and "C" mark them so that when you reconnect they are not reversed. 5. On the back - left side of the inlet valve is a spring clamp holding the black water supply hose to the inlet valve. Using a pair of pliers loosen and slide the clamp an inch away from the hose end. 6. Using your fingers and a flat tip screwdriver pry the inlet hose off of the inlet valve. 7. Place the new valve near the defective valve and remove the wires attached to the "H" and "C" inlet relays (they are two square blocks with two wire terminals on each). As you remove each wire attach it to the corresponding terminal on the replacement valve. I found it was best to pry off the plastic connectors with a screwdriver from the top while pulling them off. 8. There is one screw holding the valve to the back panel of the washer, remove it and remove the defective valve. 9. Attach the water black water supply hose to the new valve and slide the spring clamp back over the nipple of the inlet valve making sure it is near the end of the hose, but not over the edge. 10. Install the new valve by lining up the single screw hole and reinstalling the screw. 11. Reconnect the "H" and "C" supply hose paying attention that the "H" is connected to the inside and the "C" is connected to the outside inlet. 12. Turn on the water supply and run the washer through a fill cycle checking for leaks at the supply hose connections and the black hose at the outlet of the fill valve. 13. If everything is still dry reinstall the top cover by putting it in place and sliding it forward. Replace the three screws that hold the top panel.
The entire repair should take you less than 30 minutes. If you have enough room between the back of the washer and the wall you really don't even need to move the washer.

Do you have to take the back off your front load washer to replace the drain hose

Your drain hose connects to a plastic elbow that sticks out of the back of the washer. No need to remove anything other than the clamp holding the drain hose to it. If you need a new elbow, Remove the top off the washer- 2 or 3 7mm screws on back edge of top, then slide top to rear of machine.
If it is the internal drain hose remove the access panel on bottom front and the top and try to do it from both places.

I need to replace drain hose on an amana top loading washer. Is it easy to take off or is it connected to the drain pump? It is connected near the top of the washer. there is plastic around the whole where...

The connection for the drain hose is always directly to the pump outlet

You need to loosen off the top connection after removing the screws in the back panel

The panel will then slide over the hose (The plastic is there to stop it chafing )

The hose is held onto the pump with a clip , on some it is a screw type on others what is called a Cordbin clip which you need a pair of grips to remove or proper Corbin Pliers

Dump the hose into a bucket and tip the machine either forward or backward to get the maximum water out of it before you undoe the clips

Door boot seal on a front load washer how to change

front gasket/door boot.... replacement isn't easy but do-able. first remove three screws that hold front lower panel on and remove panel (where lint filter is). then remove 3 screws that hold on top panel (screws located at rear of top of washer), next remove 3 screws on top front of washer, then remove 4 screws that secure the contol panel. you must remove the washer door at this point, just a few screws and pin hold the door on. now, remove control panel by gently pulling the top away from the washer, it's held by a few plastic snaps. then, remove three screws that secure front panel of washer. now you're ready to remove the old boot/gasket. first look toward lower right side of gasket and pull the spring and remove wire that secures front of gasket. next... at about 3 o'clock on the gasket you'll find a longer screw (about 3 inches) that secures the rear of the gasket. loosen this screw until you can remove the gasket. remove the water inlet and hose from the boot/gasket.... now remove gasket from washer. you're ready to install new boot/gasket. find the small triangle on the new gasket and line this up w/the triangel at the top of wash tub. begin working the gasket onto the lip of tub, make sure to align the triangle and water outlets of the gasket w/the triangle and outlets of the washer tub. once back of gasket is on install the rear wire holder and tighten screw to former tightness. now work front of gasket onto the lip of washer, install spring wire to secure the front. place water inlet and hose into respective holes on the gasket. put front panel back on, put door on, put control panel on, put top on... and wash. like i said, not easy but do-able... i completed it in 1.5 hrs w/no instruction.

HOW DO YOU OPEN THE WASHER TO TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT IS GOING ON?

most washers after you remove the back control panel the top panel will pop off.  You may need a small screwdriver inserted in the panel gap to facilitate the process.   Also the back will remove after you remove a few hoses and a few clips.

Replacing drainage hose

You need to remove the two screws that hold the front panel in place. Remove the hose from the drain pump and pull it out through the back of the machine. You will need to release the clip that holds the hose in place where it exits the back of the washer. Important. When installing the new hose, ensure that you put it back in the clamps inside the machine or it will get caught in the pulley.
