Question about Tomtom XL 330 Car GPS Receiver
You may need to delete and reload the firmware. This is done through the MyTomTom application which is free on their website. Download the app if you dont have it. Once installed connect your device to your computer via the USB cable and turn on the GPS device; your computer should recognize it automatically and if there is a newer version available it will be offered for download. Get the latest version, but delete the current version from the unit before uploading newest firmware to GPS device. Once complete, disconnect from you PC and reboot. THEN take it outside to an open area and let it acquire satellites (which can take awhile, so find something else to do and let it be). Good luck...its a pain, but I kept having the same issue until I went through this procedure, now I am 8 months trouble-free!

Take it outside if you are trying it indoors. Sometimes it will not recognise that satellites are there until the car is moving. My Tom Tom One sometimes does that.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
