Hi I can´t make my microphone works in my HP compaq nx7010 laptop. I went to the control panel and tried to manage all the mic options but the volumen button is block so I can not press it. Could you show me how can I sort it out Thanks in advance
Sorry to dissappoint You mate, but NX7010 has no built-in microphone... VERY illogical design, for its time, but it's the sad truth. Buy an external one, plug it in and You shall see, that the sliders and tickers are suddenly working.

That is a sign that your system was hit by a virus.
Scan your system with your anti virus to get rid of that problem.
Download any task manager fixer in the net, just type "Task Manager Fixer" on any search engine and download the program, unzip it afterward.
Your problem hit me also last year and I downloaded some task fixer for free.
What is happening to your laptop is the power line connecting some row of pixels is failing so only partial colors are showing up causing the white lines. Usually screen replacement is the only answer to fix it and you may find cheaper LCD replacements on Ebay or Amazon.

Batteries last only 1 or 2 years in my experience, unless higher capacity batteries are used. If your laptop doesn't charge, it's likely a new battery is required to enable good charging of the battery. Try amazon.com or ebay.com for your make and model.
It should already be active without having to "turn it on".... You can check it by opening
the "sound" options in the "control panel" and clicking the "recording" tab,
you'll then see the "integrated microphone array" is active by tapping
on the laptop or making noise...
BUT if your wanting to know how to actually record something using it
then open the "programs" folder in the "start menu" and check inside the
"accessories" folder for the "sound recorder" program...
