Question about BenQ PB6100 Multimedia Projector

Can't access Menu

Projector is working just fine, except I can't access the Menu by either the menu button on the remote OR the menu button on the projector.

I have had the unit ceiling mounted with the image flipped, now want to use it "right side up", but the image is now upside down.

I need help to:
1 ) Get to the Menu OR
2) Return to factory settings if I can't ever get the Menu back

Thanks!

On the PB6100 you must have a input signal to access the menu.

SOURCE: I mounted the projector on the ceiling and need to flip the image

Hey there jpotto, You will need to use the installation menu. Inside you will find an option called image flip. Options are HV, H, V. Check it out. It specifically is used for ceiling mounts. Good Luck!

Reset lamp timer lg projector model BX-401C

Try this, it works on older LG TV models:

Put the projector on. While holding down the Menu key on the projector, press and hold down the Menu button on the remote. Keep both buttons pressed for a count of at least 5 seconds.

When the Service Menu pops up, release the Menu button on the remote control first and then the one on the projector after.

Now you're in to the service menu, you need to find out which button on the remote brings up the Lamp Timer Reset function. This is where you're going to have to do a bit of trial and error. With the TVs, the remote button was the Mute key. There isn't a Mute key on the projector remote, so try the Lamp key first. If that doesn't work then try some other buttons. Here's the method.

While holding down the Enter/OK on the projector, press and hold the Lamp key for five second. If this works then the lamp timer reset box should appear. Release the remote button first, followed by the unit button.

Press Enter/OK on the remote to reset the lamp timer. If there's an On Screen Prompt to confirm, press Enter again.

Press Exit on the remote to come out of the menus.

Warning: Don't reset or change any other functions. The service menu isn't the place to be tinkering around with stuff you don't understand.

I cant unlock it

When you enable the Control Panel Lock function, you can lock all of the projector's buttons, or all of the buttons except the Ppower button. The remote control can still be used to operate the projector.
1. Press the Menu button, highlight the Settings menu, and press Enter.
2. Select Control Panel Lock and press the Enter button.
3. To disable the Control Panel Lock function, select Off in the Control Panel Lock menu.
4. Select Yes and press Enter to confirm the setting.
5. Press the Menu button to exit.

*- Or press and hold the Enter button on the projector's control panel for seven seconds. A message is displayed and the lock is released.

I have the same projector and after I thought it is faulty, I finally solved the problem by putting a signal on the input. With out the signal the unit will only switch the bulb on and the menu wont be available.
