Mit. WS-65615-65in-Can't change devices-goes into Sys Reset-off

1. Error code 12 so no errors
2. Have cable split so have basic cable and all controls on Tv and Remote wk. except for device, video/audio buttons
3. When Device, Video/Audio buttons pressed on Tv or Remote...no buttons wk and Tv goes into Sys.Re-set and turns off
4. So..can only watch basic cable and can't switch to other sources..Cablebox, DVD...Cam...etc.

I had to call Mit. to get the solution. The solution is one which I didn't want to do, but it's as simple as resetting the TV back to factory settings.
    In case you don't know:
Turn on the TV and devices.
Press 1,2,3 and the Factory Setting screen comes up and press Enter and the TV will default to FSettings.
Of course, now you have to go back and re-set EVERYTHING.
Your inputs are in the TV menu/Net-command. If you power up your devices, the TV is supposed to auto find them but my TV didn't have any of my devices stored so had to name and input them, but you may have better luck.

    Hey golfnwood

You're Welcome..hate it when I find the same problem and it's been solved but no solution posted. I noticed in my post that I didn't say to use your REMOTE when you enter 1,2,3 but I assumed that would be the obvious thing to do, but thought I would throw it in there just in case for the remote challenged section. And if I'm ever in Phoenix again I'll let you know...beautiful area by the way..just too hot/dust/desert and not enouigh grass but sounds like that beer should happen on the course...FORE!!!!!

Power will not come on even after system reset. Pushed reset and LED flashes then after it stops flashing TV will still not turn on.

do self check: when it shuts off and power light goes off:

On front of set press and hold both menu and input (device) buttons for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code, like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code and I will assist you

The tv will come on for a split second then click and cut off its a mitsubusi projection ws-55809

MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD “device” and “menu” buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC’s is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

Inputs randomly stop registering, screen goes blank

Code 12 indicates no error. Push the Menu and Device buttons after the TV has shut off to get the proper code, not after you unplug and plug it back.

It seems your set is not Mitsubishi WS-55819 so it will help if you can give the exact model.

Mitsubishi WS 65807 issue- Pressing power button turns unit on for about 5 seconds and then the power shuts off. Unplugged for about 30 seconds and disconnected it from all other equipment, reconnected...

The model you have selected should have a self check feature: when turns off and the green power light goes off:

ON THE FRONT OF THE SET PRESS AND HOLD BOTH MENU AND INPUT(some sets the input is called device) together for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light should blink a two digit error code: for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code about 10 times.

error codes for this set:

1, then 2 no error detected
2, then 1 X-ray protection
2, then 2 short protection
2, then 3 deflection circuit problem
2, then 4 vertical deflection problem

2, then 2 is the most common and easiest to fix.

Let me know what you find and if 2,2 I have detailed instructions for repairing that kind of trouble.

I am here to help people.

JFS224 change drive order

You need to get into bios to change the boot order. You can usually get into bios by tapping F12, esc, or whatever depending on who wrote your bios. Once you get into bios, you should see something like change boot order somewhere. If you don't know where it is then just keep scanning each page and you will find it. It will be called something "boot order". Use the directions on screen to change it to whatever drive you desire and you should be good to go. If you can't do it then write back and let me know.
