The water continues to run. I thought that it should stop once the furnace turns off, but that is not the case.

This is the second season we've had the unit. It didn't do that last year. I think I have to replace the solenoid. Can anybody confirm?

Problem might be the sail switch is not shutting the water flow off after the furnace blower stops. Check to see if it is stuck in the "blower is running" position.

These are flow thru models and a lot of water passes thru them. The instructions say to not limit the water by closing valve at all!

Mold is developing in drainage tubing - how do I prevent?

Keeping the humidity level in your home below 50% will greatly decrease mold growth. You can pour some bleach in the drainage tubing to clean it out and do it every three months to keep it clean

Too much water running through to humidifier

With the Honeywell he220, you will use alot of water, trying to turn down the water will only reduce your amount of humidity in the home, you may be able to adjust it a little but you need to take the cover off and reduce the water flow a little at a time watching the water as it flows across the pad, you just have to make sure the humidifier pad is getting plenty of water across it, to little and you lose your humidification, hope that was helpful to ya, thanks for your question,

Water leak

Sounds like the air flow is too great and it is blowing the water in the bottom of the tray around before it gets a chance to drain. Try placing your summer, winter damper at half closed to slow the airflow down a little.

Install HE220 HoneyWell , humidity not increasing in the house.

You can try installing the water line to your hot water if it is installed on cold line for more humidification. You should make sure your humidistat is up line 6" @least from humidifier for proper humidification measurement.

Water not running through humidifer

Mine had the same problem no water through the solenoid. It turned out to be the little adapter with the needle hole on it, attached to the solenoid on the intake side. It was clogged, cleaned it out and works great now.
