For Garmin. Enter your final destination and select go. Select again "where to" and select new destination on route. Option of "New destination or add as via point" will be shown. Select as add as via point. Repeat as many time you want. Works only when "go" was selected - can not be pre programmed and saved for later use.
Some garmin satnavs allow you to save routes which have multiple destinations. The 265WT does not so the only way to set it for multiple destinations is to use via points. First press WHERE To and enter your last destination. Press GO and then while that is active pres MENU and WHERE TO again. Enter your second last destination and press GO. It will ask if you want this to be a new destination or a VIA point. Select VIA point. Continue to add other destinations in the same way with the destinations nearest to the end going in first and the closest to the start going last.
It's not ideal especially as it cannot be saved for future use but unfortunately for some strange reason Garmin do not include the option to store routes on all their satnavs.
You will find the previous destination every time when you will select RECENT PLACES/DESTINATIONS. But if you want to have it alays as a waypoint you have to do like this: once you have input the coordinates of it just tap on that destination [to select it] and give it a name by saving it in POI/FAVORITES.
This is how to: 1. your device has to be ON 2. attach it to your computer via USB cable 3. go on Magellan support web page (www.magellan.com) and search for the desired map 4. save it on your computer by right-clicking on the map and choosing the option "SAVE AS" 5. double-click on the icon of the saved file (the map) and choose as destination your GPS device.
hi if you have a card reader use this to read your sd card delete the file called opts.dat this is in navigator folder on sd card this will delete your favourite places the sat nav automatically makes a new one when new places are saved, good luck
In general, once you key in an address and then select a route, the name/route will be saved in "recent destinations." If you want to use that destination, just select it. If you want to add it to "Favorites", then select "Add Favorite" and all your recent destinations will appear. Select the one you want and rename it: E.g., instead of "220 W. Walnut St." rename it "Grandma's House" and it is set.
