Either you might have spelled something on it and it could be sticky (just needs to be clean)

or

you might have to reinstall driver.
use this driver to reinstall (click on driver)

I hop ethis works out for you.

Tapping on gateway nv 53 trackpad not working

This just happened on my HP2730P. I always used the click on the touchpad, plus used the right click button at the bottom. Yesterday it just decided to stop working and went haywier...it started doing the selecting and dragging while I was moving the mouse around and my left click stopped working. Obviously my enable tap click was already on cuz I used it all the time.

My solution was disabling the buttons under the "buttons" tab. Then my mousepad tap started working again, I regained function in the scrollbar on the mousepad again, and if I need to right click I can use the point stick buttons right above the pad.

OR

Does it start working when you reboot? If so, try changing the "Touchpad Sensitivity" option :)

The left click button on my samsung r510 is not working, can you help me please?

Use "tapping" to do the left click if the button isn't working. You can click, double click and drag things around using just the touch panel.
Position the cursor on the icon you want to select and do a quick "tap" on the touch panel, the icon will become selected, equivalent to one click. To double click, double tap. To drag things around, do a tap and quickly tap again without lifting your finger and move.
It takes a little practice but you'll get used to it. Also the touchpad software has some settings that will let to configure the sensitivity and time between taps among other things to adjust the movement to your preferences.

Touchpad has no tap, left key not working.

Hi there,
I had this issue and resolved it by doing the following:
-Open the start menu by using the windows button
-Use the arrow keys to highlight run and press enter
-Type 'control panel' and press enter, find the mouse properties and enter
-From the buttons tab in mouse properties, go to double click speed and change to slow and confirm the changes
-At this point it probably still wont work, so do the above again but change the double click settings to fast and confirm.
-Restart your PC and this should resolve the matter. you can alter the double click speed again if you wish :)

Hope this helps,
tbo

Touchpad does not work 100%

You can "tap" on touchpad as you do with left click,
otherwise it needs new touchpad assembly.

"sticky" mouse on compaq laptop

Unless your left mouse button has been severely damaged, it is unlikely that a loose button is the cause of your problem. More likely, it is your touchpad. Chances are your touchpad is set to click when tapped. Oversensitive touchpads can click randomly when you're dragging your finger across the touchpad.

To test this, position your cursor over a link (or other button) but don't press the left mouse button. Instead, lightly tap the touchpad itself. If the link or button is clicked, go to your Control Panel and adjust the Mouse options so your touchpad no longer clicks when tapped. It's usually a setting titled "tap to click" or something along those lines.
