Cambridge Audio DVD55 problem... (by 2 users)

By Reynolds - usenet poster

Hello

Has anyone else got one of these players from Richer Sounds, a
Cambrige Audio DVD 55?

The one I got plays the subtitles by default, and I have to turn them
off manually.

The people in the shop say its a known problem on all of the DVD55's
and that the stock has to clear before they get the new ones in
without the fault, about two months.

I've searched google, but can't find any reference to it.

Have you had this?

Its a really good player for the price, right up to the point somebody
starts talking.

Thanks.

Take it back - it's not fit for purpose sold. I'm surprised at RS
fobbing you off wiht that kind of bullshit - they really want to clear
stocks of a faulty player out to customers? Numbskulls
