In a perfect world, a computer would run smoothly without any glitch or error.
Of course it isn't a perfect world, though, and PCs do come under the occasional error.
One of those, Error 1309, occurs when you install either Microsoft Office 2003 or Microsoft Office Project 2003.
It is due to an ordering issue in the program's installation.
There is no perfect order because many computers handle the software differently, but there is a fix for the error if it should ever come up.

Open "Notepad."
Click "Format." Make sure "Word Wrap" is not selected or enabled.

Click "Open" and then navigate to the folder "C:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftOffice2003\Files\Setup." Scroll through the list of files and select "PROJPRO.XML."
Search the file for the section "OCLNCORE.OPC_1033."
Once found, there will be a "CATCHLEVEL=1" written next to it.
Change the 1 to 3 so it reads "CATCHLEVEL=3

Save the file. Make sure it is saved over the original file.
This will override the error message 1309 and keep it from appearing.

I can't open any of the microsoft office 2010 in my computer.

is there an error? if there is please provide me with the error. you may also check if microsoft office 2010 was installed successfully by going to the control panel--> programs --> uninstall a program/// try to check if the microsoft office 2010 is still on the list. there is also a possibility that your program has already expired ror may be corrupted. in that case if you're using a license version of the Office 2010 then you may try to uninstall and reinstall the product. Please send me more details about your problem so i can better assist you. thanks.

Lacie 250GB external HD (Error Code - 1309),

For systems prior to OS X; error -1309 fileBoundsErr: file's EOF offset mark or size is too big If your disk is formated as HFS rather than HFS+, you can get this error. For OS X; Error 1309 is a file bounds error. In other words there is some discrepancy with the file's size or end-of-file marker, or some variation on this. This sounds like a read error not a write one i.e the problem lies with the original file. Now, you may ask, "How do I make it HFS+?"... You would have to reformat the drive to change the formatting to HFS+ (Extended). Backup anything you can't replace on that disk, then use Disk Utility in your Utility folder to reformat the disk. Use Extended formating option.
