Key won't go in switch

Tried the wrong key it only went in about 1/4 inch,now key won't go in this is on a 2008 chevy cobolt

Bent tumblers ,official answer fit new lock ,bodge answer give it a drop of engine oil and try tapping key in lightly

Have you put a set of a/c gauges on the car to see if there is enough Freon in the system? It sound like low pressure switch is kicking compressor out.

My 2008 Chevy Malibu won't go into park and I can't take the keys out of the ignition.

There is a problem in the shift linkage or internally in the transmission.
Needs further diagnostics.

I have a 2006 chevy cobolt and when i try turning it off, even when its in park, the car wont turn off and my key wont come out. what shoud i do?

could possibly be the shift lock or the key switch might need replaced but in order to do this you need someone qualified because this process is nt easy.i have repaired alot of these at the chevy dealership i work at.

now what it sounds like is the key has a sensor built in it the keys cost around 60.00$ but this is most likely what is wrong. the sensor is a security feature with the car if the light glows while trying to turn the car then this your problem :)

Which fuze controls the cigarette lighter in a 2008 cobolt? The panel does not clearly state lighter on the diagram.

It should be under the hood in that fuse panel labeled pwr outlet
