To re-instate your monitor back to english language, remove power plug from rear of monitor and leave plug out for 10 seconds. Re-insert plug and monitor will return to the default english language. This process will not disturb any of your monitor settings. Works every time.

Someone is being funny and switched your language settings. If you're using windows, get to the control panel, find the icon of the clock and the earth, click on that and in the first drop down box select English. Click on the bottom left button and you should be good to go!

I nee to know how to change the menu language in my monitor, it change by it self and I don't know how to change it back, is in some kind of Asian language that i don't understand, is a Polyview PT-518 A

Hi there,
Open the main menu on the monitor. Look for a icon of a globe and click on it... and choses one by one until you find the jackpot (English). It's in Chinese? If so, Google Chinese translation the word English and go back and matched the word. Good luck!

The model number on my monitor is tft19w80ps it's a black 19" lcd gateway monitor... all it's menus are in a foreign language and there is something that pops up every 5 minutes or so that I can't get rid...

Don't know about the 5- minute pop-up, but this is how you get it back to english:

  • Turn the monitor on, connect a VGA cable and make sure it's receiving a signal.
  • Press "MENU"
  • Press "> Speaker +" repeatedly to get to the globe icon, and press "MENU"
  • Press "> SPEAKER +" repeatedly to get to "English" and press "MENU"
  • Press "AUTO" to quit out of the menu.

My menu is in Chinese, how do I change it back to English when I can't read the menu options?

If you open up the menu, there should ( Most monitors have little pictures next to the title of the section ) be a picture of a little person with a speech bubble next to it. Go to that one, It's the language selection. English SHOULD be in English, so you can tell which one to choose.
