Dvd drive my dvd drive will not open

If the DVD drive does not have an "Open" button, press firmly on the right side of the DVD drive tray and then release it to open the drive. To force the DVD drive to open, straighten a paper clip and insert it into the small hole on the outside of the DVD drive; push and hold the paper clip until the DVD drive opens.

It could be a "physical" problem.

Take a Norwegian paper-clip, and straighten one end.
Insert that end into the small hole in the face-plate of the drive,
and push until you feel resistance.
Then, firmly push another 10mm (1/4 inch) and the drive should "unlock" and open slightly.
Press the open/close button to fully open the tray.

there are two solutions for this:
first go to MyComputer, right click on your DVD drive and click Eject. if it does not open the try the following.
on your dvd drive there is a small pinhole. get a stapler or something small tha fits that hole and push it through. this was your dvd drive will open. it will not harm your dvd drive.

To open this drive you can open My Computer and right click your DVD drive and select eject. You can also open any CD/DVD drive by taking a paper clip (or something the size of one) and inserting it inside the tiny pinhole near the eject button on the drive.

Most PC DVD/CD drives have a small hole just large enough to insert an unfolded paper clip this will release the rack and pinion drive the the tray will open for you

The door drive motor may be frozen.

1. Shut down the computer and unplug it.
   
2. Open the computer casing to access the DVD drive from inside.
3. Disconnect the cable on the DVD drive leaving only the power supply connected to it.
4. Turn on the computer.
5. Push the OPEN/CLOSE button on the DVD drive. If it does not open, the drive is broken or the door drive motor is defective. If it opens, push the button repeatedly to open and close the door repeatedly to release any frozen part.
6. If the door does not stuck anymore, shut down the computer.
7. Reconnect the cable and turn on the computer.

Does your dvd drive opens other dvd's if it does, that means your dvd has gone bad but if your dvd drive fails to play any dvd's than it's a problem with your dvd drive.

Best way to test it would be to insert a new empty dvd and see if your dvd drive opens it.

Let's try to open your dvd manually. Look at your dvd drive you will find a small hole just beside the push botton, find a long pin push that pin side the hole, it will open you dvd. Push the dvd botton and try to open it again.

may be u r drive door s are stuck.....try to open it by a needle....

or further it is damaged u can replase it if in warrenty.
